At the farm we were happy to host a Demo Day for our local farm equipment distributor Messicks Farm Equipment. Many local farmers gathered to join us as we all explored the many pieces of equipment on display. Equipment featured at the event: Ausa Forklif, Ausa Taurulift, Ausa Dumper and New Holland Tractors featuring attachments like the Omli Defoliator, and hedger, and much more!
Ausa
One of the many pieces of equipment at the demo day was the Ausa Forklift. This is a tough terrain forklift made to handle those hard jobs. Here at the farm we have a few that we use often. Mt. Ridge has been able to see major improvement in our operation with these advanced forklifts.
In the bottom left photo you see our VP discussing the Ausa Forklift with the Dillon, one of Messicks employees, to review all the features and benefits of this piece of equipment. Above in the far right photo you see our VP and President looking into the Ausa while Dillon shows additional new features and safety protocols.
Trial Run
During the demo day farmers were welcomed to use and test equipment. A few of the attendees trialed the Ausa Forklift.
Other Vendors
At the event we also welcomed Stockade. A tool we have used on the farm many times. Featured in the right is our President, David Slaybaugh, talking with one of the Stockade reps. Stockade has a powered fence stapling tool that our farm and many other orchards use.

Below is a small gallery of the Demo Day. There was a large turn out and we feel the event was a success. Mt. Ridge Farms was happy to gather local farmers together to discuss pros and cons of equipment and have the experts there to answer all our questions.
